Silversands Casino review
A long-running rand casino with a fully written R400 chip. The R8,888 headline is real, and the deposit-by-deposit split behind it was not in the HTML we could read.

3.8 / 5 editorial score
Marks
- Slot focus: 4 / 5. Slots are prominent, and the navigation also lists table games, video poker and multiplayer poker.
- Offer clarity: 3 / 5. The homepage headline says R8,888 plus R400 free. The R8,888 figure is not itemised in the static promotions HTML. SIGNUP200 is itemised: 200% up to R1,000.
- Licence disclosure: 5 / 5. The footer prints Anjouan licence ALSI-102404011-FI3 and names Paxson Marketing Ltd.
- Low-commitment trial: 5 / 5. The R400 chip, coupon SSFR400, publishes 60 times wagering and a cashout of twice the bonus.
- October 2026 slot promo: 2 / 5. No free-spin coupon dated October 2026 was on the homepage or the offer pages opened on the check date.
The average of those five marks is 3.8. The method is on the how-we-rate page, linked from the footer.
Silversands Casino is fourth. The R400 chip is the clearest no-deposit offer in this set after Springbok’s, and the licence number is printed on the homepage. The R8,888 welcome is a headline we could not split into deposit lines, and we found no free-spin coupon dated October 2026.
What the site says about itself
The homepage title says the casino has operated since 1999 and advertises an R8,888 welcome bonus plus R400 free. The footer says the site is owned and operated by Paxson Marketing Ltd, company number 27033 BC 2023, and licensed in Anjouan under ALSI-102404011-FI3. That is the same licence line used by Apollo Slots and White Lotus Casino. The coupons are not the same.
The navigation includes instant play, a download, promotions, banking, multiplayer poker and support. Slots are a large part of the pitch. They are not the whole floor. The homepage also has a ZAR and a EUR currency control. We did not open a cashier, so we do not describe how a euro balance is settled.
The R400 chip
The offer page linked from the homepage is titled as R400 free with no deposit required. The coupon is SSFR400. It is once per player and cannot be combined with another Silversands promotion. Wagering is 60 times the bonus: R24,000 on a R400 chip. The maximum cashout is twice the bonus, which is R800 if the full chip is credited. The balance must be zero and there must be no pending withdrawal.
Blackjack and video poker count at half. Roulette, pontoon, bingo, craps, War and baccarat are excluded. Ten slots are named as excluded, among them Ronin: Quest of Honor, Cash Chalet, Escape the North, Mask of the Golden Sphinx, Sneaky Santa, Merlin’s Riches, Shelltastic Wins, Doragon’s Gems, Fortunes of Olympus and Sweet 16 Blast. A chip you cannot play on the slot you opened is not the chip in the headline.
The R8,888 headline and SIGNUP200
We could not itemise R8,888. The promotions index rendered the words “Loading Promotions...” and did not expose the deposit lines in the HTML fetched on 16 October 2026. The figure stays in this review as the operator’s headline. It is not a package we reconciled.
The signup page, titled for 2026, does itemise a match: coupon SIGNUP200, 200% up to R1,000, once per player, 30 times the bonus, with the same game weighting as the chip. One paragraph of those terms still says “Signup Bonus 2025”. That mismatch is a reason to read the cashier rather than assume the page title controls the coupon. No minimum deposit is printed on that page. The full R1,000 bonus is 200% of a R500 deposit.
Where it sits in the ranking
Offer clarity scores 3 because the largest number on the site is the one we could not open. The October promo mark scores 2 because a dated free-spin coupon was not on the pages we read. The chip itself is specific, which is why the low-commitment mark is 5. Players who want a written no-deposit chip in rand, and who will accept 60-times wagering and an R800 cashout cap, can read the offer page and decide. Players comparing October free-spin coupons will find them at Apollo Slots and White Lotus Casino instead.

Silversands Casino
R8,888 homepage headline
Homepage on the check date
The homepage title and meta description advertise a welcome bonus of R8,888 together with the R400 chip.
The promotions index returned “Loading Promotions...” and did not itemise how R8,888 is split. Treat R8,888 as the operator’s headline, not as a package we could reconcile line by line. SIGNUP200 is the match whose terms we could read in full.
Silversands Casino is one of four reviewed casinos. The comparison, including the operators that are listed without a score, is on the casinos page.
